James Madison Center for Free Speech to Host Premiere of the Documentary Film “By Dawn's Early Light” at Trump Kennedy Center
The James Madison Center for Free Speech is pleased to announce that it will be hosting the premiere of the documentary film “By Dawn's Early Light” at the Trump Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, on May 18th.
“By Dawn’s Early Light” is a production of the White House Task Force to Eradicate Anti-Christian Bias, chaired by Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche, which highlights the Task Force's recently released Report documenting systemic bias, against Christians and people of faith, in the U.S. Department of Justice during the Biden administration.
According to Attorney General Blanche, “No American should live in fear that the federal government will punish them for their faith. As our Report lays out, the Biden Administration's actions devastated the lives of many Christian Americans. That devastation ended with President Trump. The Department of Justice will continue to expose bad actors who targeted Christians and work tirelessly to restore religious liberty for all Americans of faith.”
As the nation's premier cultural center, the Trump Kennedy Center is where the country turns for major cultural moments and conversations that shape American values. Premiering the documentary at the Center places religious liberty and the eradication of anti-Christian bias at the center of the national conversation and underscores their national importance.
The Trump Kennedy Center's transformation under the current Administration further amplifies its significance as the venue for the production. Trump Kennedy Center President Richard Grenell publicly articulated the renewed vision for the institution: “One important aspect of the arts is to bring faith-based and family programming that speaks to the human spirit, that reflects the enduring hope of the American story.”
On May 31st, in a nationwide “National Liberty Night Out,” the documentary film will be shown in theaters throughout the United States.
James Bopp, Jr., General Counsel for the James Madison Center, said, “We are pleased and honored to assist Acting Attorney General Blanche and the White House Task Force in defending the First Amendment rights of all Americans by helping expose anti-Christian bias that infected the previous administration.”
The James Madison Center for Free Speech is dedicated to protecting the First Amendment rights of all citizens. It supports litigation and public education to defend those rights. The James Madison Center for Free Speech is a private foundation under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue code.
